The Mississippi Valley Chapter

The Society of Explosives Engineers

The Mississippi Valley Chapter of the Society of Explosives Engineers is a professional society dedicated to promoting the safety, security and the controlled use of explosives in mining, quarrying, construction, manufacturing, demolition, aerospace, forestry, avalanche control, art, special effects, exploration, seismology, agriculture, law enforcement, and many other peaceful uses of explosives.

Our membership is comprised of a diverse mixture of field blasters, consultants, developers, explosives manufacturers, students, government regulators, artists, and others.

Our chapter covers the region known as the Mississippi Valley of the Mississippi River.  Other chapters cover other geographical areas.  The International Society of Explosives Engineers’ webpage can direct you to your local chapter.
